I know I know

Life is just too dang hard. The breaks never come. There is no hope.

Do you catch yourself in a pity party? Do you find yourself internalizing these words and thoughts? Some people do. Those that remain stuck do.

You, I suspect, are not one of those people. You are one of the few that see light when it is pitch black, or water when there is nothing but a dry lakebed. That is the spirit. See what you can and deliver it to your mind. That is the power of change, courage, and possibility thinking.

Do these things:

1. See what you want in your minds eye.

2. Create an “I am” statement.

3. Read it 100 times per day.

4. Visualize success.

5. Feel success in your mind and in your heart.

6. Cut off all possibilities of failure.

7. Get up when you fall down.

8. Keep you eye on what you want.

There are a hundred more ideas I could share here. You get the picture. Think about what is good, what is possible, and go get it. Stop wavering, wandering, and second-guessing yourself. You are a powerful person and have the ability to be, do, or have anything you choose. And that is the key…

Choose to have it!

Three Feet from Gold

He was just three feet from striking gold and gave up. That is the story of the man who staked a claim and expected to get rich. After he had run through his money, expended his energy, and become jaded about his dream he finally was defeated and gave up. Just another three feet and he would have realized his dreams of striking it rich by finding gold.

What have you give up on in life?

We all tend to come to the end of our rope and declare it over. We accept failure by quitting.  This choice dictates a consequence we don’t necessarily want. Yet, if you are like me that choice will eat away at your mind. You will wonder, what if. What if  I had dug three feet deeper and struck my gold.

Don’t accept the consequence of failure.

Get up, dig deeper, plan better, find a mentor, get some more knowledge but never give up.

Here is something that may help.

1. Take out a sheet of paper and write down everything that is wrong in your life. I know, I know, just do it.

2. Now, turn on your shredder and run that sheet of wrongs through it. They are now gone and you are free to start over.

3. Get a new sheet of paper and write down everything you are grateful for in life. Write it all down. Fold it up and carry it with you for reference every day.

It’s your three feet. Will you choose to keep digging our will you quit? There is no reward in quitting. Choose to dig.

Success in Three Extremely Easy and Powerful Steps

One thing I share with all the corporate teams I work with is, “Keep it simple and straight forward.” If you need to accomplish something, do it in no more than six steps. And six steps is a complicated plan from my eyes. In your daily life you can do it in three steps.

Recently on Twitter this tweet was read, “Inch by inch it’s a cinch.” There is truth in that simple statement. We all have goals. Some are big goals and some are simply goals yet powerful for unlocking the keys to our success and ultimately happiness in life. If we take time to break down the big goals into small action and the small goals into daily tasks and act every day we will find what it is we are seeking.

So, I am going to keep this blog post short. What I would like you to do is get a journal and write out your big goals and small goals. This journal should go with your everywhere. Don’t lose one thought or idea as you go through your day. Next, every day forward you are to do the following:

1. Write down three things to accomplish related to your goals.

2. Take immediate action.

3. Celebrate your daily success on your goals.

It really is that simple. For big goals and for small goals this easy three step method works. Start creating your habit today. Do it for a month and review. Were you able to actually take 90 separate actions on your goal? How does that feel? Did you actually reach any goals in that time frame? Write back and let me know how this three-step method worked for you.
