The Art of Breathing

Earlier today I was checking out other motivation blogs. It was interesting to find one blog that shared the power of finding a quiet spot to reflect on the things you cherish about life. This is an important step in helping to align your day for excellence.

The author was essentially speaking about meditating. He pointed out how much peace this practice will have on your life and challenged the reader to engage in meditation for 30 days. It was his belief that you would continue beyond the 30 day trial period. He wrote with conviction on the subject.

To add punch to his mediation thoughts, I wanted to add this nugget. Mediation is a great way to relax and dream about the future. It’s a fantastic way to play movies in your mind of exactly what you want to attract. Lately, there has been big hoopla about the “Law of Attraction.”

The punch I’m adding is the art of breathing. Before you close  your eyes and begin your meditation session, you may want to use breathing to clear away any negative thoughts, aura, or feelings that seem to linger at times. Invest about five minutes just sucking in full lungs of air and then blow it out. Each breath should get deeper and act as a calming device. As you exhale feel the bad energy running down your arm and out your finger tips.

If you will engage in five minutes of breathing prior to your meditation session you will have a powerful and relaxing day. Add this routine to your 30 day trial and come back and tell me how it went.

Success Begins By Visualizing It!

Success may appear in an intangible form like a certain net worth, a particular amount in your bank account, or an ideal weight in numbers. Success may also appear to others as an intangible. Some think of success as giving to others, assisting groups, or personal limits in their lives.

One thing is clear. Success is different for each individual and there is no right or wrong definition of success. The definition you give it is the right one. Common to the tangible and intangible views of success is a clear vision of your interpretation. All success begins with a clear vision.

Think of your favorite film. Were you left with a clear image of the characters, story, and scenes well beyond the end of the film? I would guess you did.  The same is evident when we visualize something clearly. In this case, we need to visual our perception of success as if it were a movie. This helps us become very clear about our end game and sometimes the path forward.

Want It, See It, Get It!: Visualize Your Way to Success

Use meditation and visualization to see where you intend to end up when you meet your success. Decide to create a movie of your success and play that movie over and over in your mind every day. This will burn a deep groove in the subconscious of your mind and help guide you (as if on autopilot) toward freedom, happiness, and success in your life.

These are five clear actions that create energy and hope for ultimately meeting with success.

1.   Clear your mind of negative thoughts, visions, and the perpetual “Yeah but” demon.

2.   Clear out negative individuals who are critical of you and act to plant doubt in your mind.

3.   Clear space in your day to relax and meditate. Schedule it if you must.

4.   Clear your mind of distractions by breathing deep for several minutes before visualizing success.

5.   Clear a quite spot to relax and meditate without interruption. A spot where you let your imaginations go and begin watching movies in your head of your future success.

6.   Clearly focus on how success appears to you. Play movies in your mind that show you success.

7.   Clear a path forward for this activity on a daily basis. Repetition is the mother of skill.

You must begin with a thought of success. After your spark of energy that created that spark is a place to insert action. Take action every day until you meet with your level of success.

Want It, See It, Get It!: Visualize Your Way to Success

Inside of this process, between thought and action, is a map based upon years of thought, conversations, and cause and effect. Some have maps that are easily shifted into high gear for rapid success. Some have maps that are going to be a hindrance.  Don’t ignore the hindrance. It will probably not go away on its own. Own the reality of your hindrance and choose to take action to kill it.

If you dig into your guiding map and choose to kill the negative voice that may hold you back, then you will have the power to succeed at the level you have chosen.
